SHAH ALAM, 20 July – The Royal City Council of Klang (MBDK) issued five seizure notices and five compounds to several business premises along Jalan Sri Sarawak 19, Taman Sri Andalas, Klang, for violating licensing requirements and other regulatory provisions. MBDK stated that the action followed a joint inspection carried out by its Licensing Department and Enforcement Department involving eight business premises, including grocery stores, barber shops, food outlets, traditional herbal product shops, and mini markets. According to MBDK, the inspection revealed that several premises were operating without valid MBDK business licences. Other offences detected included the sale of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders beyond the permitted limit without the required licence, as well as causing obstructions along public walkways. The Council added that the enforcement operation was conducted in an orderly and controlled manner in accordance with the relevant by-laws and applicable legislation. MBDK reaffirmed that enforcement operations will continue on a regular basis to ensure that all business activities comply with licensing requirements and regulatory standards, thereby safeguarding the safety, well-being, and public interest of the Klang community. |
