SHAH ALAM, 15 July – The Royal City Council of Klang (MBDK) issued 14 compounds and seized two hawker stalls during an enforcement and hawker control operation conducted at the Sri Serawak Night Market in Andalas yesterday. The operation, which commenced at 5.00 p.m., was carried out by the Licensing Department in collaboration with the Enforcement Department to ensure that business activities at the night market complied with the applicable by-laws and licensing requirements. In a statement posted on its official Facebook page, MBDK said that 14 compounds were issued to hawkers operating without valid licences under By-Law 3 (UUK 3) of the MPK Hawkers By-Laws. In addition, enforcement officers seized two stalls operated by foreign nationals who were found to be conducting business without the required licences. “All confiscated items were properly documented and transported to the Enforcement Department’s storage facility for further action,” the statement said. MBDK reaffirmed its commitment to intensifying enforcement operations on a continuous basis to ensure that all hawkers comply with the established regulations and licensing requirements. |
