SHAH ALAM, 25 OCT: The Selangor State Government will continue to prioritise the interests of the people in its administration, in accordance with the decree of the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj. Selangor Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, said that he and the entire State Government administration would take His Royal Highness's decree, delivered in conjunction with the Silver Jubilee Celebration Marking the 25th Anniversary of the Sultan of Selangor's Reign, as guidance in fulfilling their responsibilities. According to him, His Royal Highness's emphasis that true progress is measured by the well-being of all citizens serves as a guiding principle in ensuring that the state's prosperity is enjoyed by every segment of society. “My colleagues in the State Government administration and I will hold His Royal Highness's decree close to our hearts. “Your Royal Highness's concern for the people inspires us to continuously improve administrative services and fulfil our responsibilities with honesty, fairness and integrity, placing the interests of the people and Selangor's future at the forefront,” he said in a Facebook post. Amirudin also referred to His Royal Highness's decree that Selangor's wealth and prosperity must translate into improved well-being for the people, particularly those who continue to face hardship. Among the key priorities highlighted were access to quality education, affordable housing, employment opportunities, and a clean and healthy environment. Meanwhile, Amirudin said the State Government also upholds His Royal Highness's decree to continue safeguarding the sanctity of Islam and strengthening harmony among the state's multiracial and multireligious communities. According to him, Selangor's progress must also be accompanied by religious values, good manners, mutual respect and humanity. In conjunction with the Silver Jubilee celebration, Amirudin also offered prayers to Allah SWT for His Royal Highness to be blessed with a long life, good health and continued well-being, enabling him to continue reigning over the state and caring for all the people of Selangor Darul Ehsan. |
