KLANG, 18 JUNE: The Royal Patron Programme Visit by Invest Selangor with Industry to the Fraser & Neave Holdings Bhd (F&N) processing facility in Pulau Indah, participated by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah and the Menteri Besar, has strengthened the relationship between the company and the State Government. Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the visit provided an opportunity to enhance cooperation between the State Government and key industry players, while gaining insights into the current developments of the sector. He said F&N’s long-standing presence in Selangor through its facilities in Pulau Indah, Rawang, and Shah Alam reflects the company’s contribution to the state’s manufacturing sector. “F&N is not only located in Pulau Indah, but also in Rawang and Shah Alam. “Pulau Indah is one of its production locations, producing various products for consumers,” he said to reporters after the visit to F&N Dairies Manufacturing Sdn Bhd at Pulau Indah Industrial Park today. Amirudin said F&N’s products, particularly dairy products, have become part of the daily lives of Malaysians. “When we drink teh tarik, I believe more than half of it involves contributions from F&N through its milk products and others,” he said. The RM370 million F&N facility in Pulau Indah serves as a manufacturing and export hub, producing dairy products and beverages for the Malaysian market as well as 45 other countries. The facility also contributes to the local economy through employment opportunities, participation in the supply chain, and annual expenditure exceeding RM200 million for raw material purchases. During the visit, Tengku Amir Shah also visited the memorial site featuring a tree planted by His Royal Highness Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj in conjunction with the launch of the F&N facility in 2013. |
