SHAH ALAM - The Selangor State Legislative Assembly (DUN) session scheduled to begin on April 20 will proceed as usual without any postponement. Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said that so far there is no need to declare an emergency as there are no obstacles including health aspects that could affect the course of the session. According to him, the session is also important as a platform for the state government to explain the steps taken in addressing current issues. "This is also important for us to explain the steps taken by the government at the state level," he said when met after the Opening Ceremony of the Taat Setia Madani Tour at the Raja Muda Musa Hall, Selangor State Youth and Culture Complex, Section 7 here on Friday. Amirudin said that based on the initial review, many questions were raised by State Assemblymen (ADUN) regarding the government's steps in facing the current challenges following the geopolitical conflict in West Asia. He said that this showed the need for the government to provide a comprehensive explanation in the session. "I saw yesterday (the question in the state assembly) asking what steps the government is taking to deal with the current situation," he added. |
