SEVEN PREMISES IN PANDAMARAN JAYA FINED FOR FAILING TO COMPLY WITH CLEANLINESS STANDARDS

SHAH ALAM, 18 MAY: The Royal Klang City Council (MBDK) issued nine compounds against seven business premises that failed to comply with cleanliness regulations during an inspection operation in Pandamaran Jaya, Klang.
MBDK informed that the operation, conducted by the Environmental Services Department, involved inspections of 61 premises to ensure compliance with cleanliness and waste management aspects.
According to it, the operation found that the seven premises committed various offences under the 2007 Business Premises and Hawkers Operators By-Laws (PPPS) (MPK).
The condition of the grease trap and drainage system of a business premises in Pandamaran Jaya, which was found to be poorly maintained during a cleanliness inspection operation by the Royal Klang City Council (MBDK).
“A total of six compounds were issued under By-law 11 of the PPPS (MPK) 2007, while another two involved offences under By-law 5 and By-law 11.
“One more compound was imposed for offences under By-law 6 and By-law 11 of the PPPS (MPK) 2007,” he said in a statement today.
At the same time, MBDK reminded premises owners to maintain cleanliness inside and outside their premises, including providing 240-litre rubbish bins according to the specifications set by the Council.
“MBDK is committed to ensuring that the cleanliness level of business premises is always at an optimum level to guarantee public comfort and health,” he said.
